Mixed Metal Skull on Leather

I made this mixed metal chunky babe forever ago. It’s been sitting in a small glass jar above my workbench while I tried to figure out what to hang it from.

I melted down the sterling silver to make the skull, and gave it a pretty copper background and frame, with a brass and fine silver bail. Ultimately, I decided to put it on 30” of brown leather cord.

These hand-fabricated skulls are my reminder to live, because someday I will die.
